Malaysia Airlines Cadet Pilot Trainee 2019 Intake!

Job Purpose:

Enrol in Cadet Pilot Training Programme at Flight Training Organisation (‘FTO’) to obtain Airline Transport Pilot Licence (‘ATPL’)

Job Accountability:

  • Pass all ATPL subjects with maximum of 3 attempts and complete flying syllabus within 24 months
  • Obtain CAAM approval for flying licence issuance to meet requirement by the authority

Educational Qualification:

  • SPM (or its equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysian government) with minimum
    • (A-) in Mathematics OR Add-Mathematics and English;
    • (A-) in Science OR (B) in Physics; and
    • (B) in other two (2) subjects
OR
  • Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science related disciplines with minimum
    • CGPA of 3.00; and
    • SPM (or its equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysian government) with minimum (B) in Mathematics OR Add-Mathematics, Science OR Physics and English

Requirements:

  • A Malaysian National
  • Maximum 28 years old at date of selection
  • Minimum height of 158cm
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken
  • Medically and physically fit with perfect eyesight and visual acuity of at least 6/60 without optical aids, correctable to 6/6 and not colour blind

Hi again, I am going to show u guys my experience attending the SIA cadetship preliminary interview (stage 1) held at Kuala Lumpur. Seriously, I didn't expect an invitation email in a sudden as I applied this position quite a some time ago in February 2018 for fun haha. I knew earlier its going to be tough journey to the end as I read from online forums that people saying Degree grads have a better chance than diploma holders like me to be shortlisted to the end. So, why not I try and see. If you don't try, u never know your luck. ( My advise: To join SQ better take up Degree in Engineering related such as Aerospace,Mechanical, Electrical etc so you have better chance for this cadetship )  It was around 11am saturday 21st April 2018 just when I woke up from sleep. Singapore Airlines B787 Dreamliner 9V-SCB Good day aviators, here is our neighbouring flag carrier SIA had been advertising their cadet pilot programme (ab initio) for Malaysians. SIA is the only sponsored scheme unlike MAB and AirAsia where you have to take up Bank Loans. Competition is stiff as they are receiving many applications and the cream of the crop are chosen to fly their flag. So, to stand out, you must have an impressive CV and stand out from the rest of the crowd. They are in shortage of pilots to cater as many of them left for Chinese and Middle Eastern carriers from the latest news. As more aircrafts such as A350 and B787 being delivered to replace the existing fleet, they require more pilots too.
